Welcome!
The following rules are presented with the intention of keeping this a friendly and secure environment for everyone. Please take the time to review this Code of Conduct and follow it carefully. Be advised that our staff members reserve the right to discipline users as they see fit, with or without notice, and also may modify the Code of Conduct regularly, as necessary. Ultimately, as long as you routinely treat others as you wish to be treated, the Code of Conduct and Forum Moderators should present no problems for you.
Thank you!
Code of Conduct
Treat others the way you wish to be treated. Always a good rule of thumb.
Constructive Feedback and Personal Attacks. Always keep in mind that Pokémon players and staff have common goals. We appreciate the feedback of our audience tremendously and hope you will keep this in mind when you present your thoughts. We ask that you refrain from presenting your ideas in a harassing manner.
Profanity. You may not use any sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, defamatory, abusive, obscene, hateful, religious, sexually oriented, or ethnically offensive language. This includes masking profanity with asterisks, acronyms, abbreviations, innuendo, foreign languages, or any other means.
Harassment. Each forum participator deserves to have an atmosphere free from personal attacks, foul language, excessive profanity, abuse, or any other type of harassment. Though we believe each individual has the right to voice his or her opinions, it does not mean we are willing to override the rights of others to have a safe and satisfying experience. You must not behave in any way which may be considered offensive, obscene, discriminating, mudslinging, or otherwise harassing while in the game, on the forums, or interacting with customer support. This includes deliberately bypassing language filters to force public harassment, known as "evasion of the filter."
Trolling/Flaming. Clear intention to provoke an emotional response from others. "Flaming" includes insults, bigotry, name-calling, or outright hostility directed at another person. Often, flaming is the result of a heated difference of opinions on a topic that has devolved into childish bickering. Occasionally, a member will become a "repeat instigator" who insists on attacking others as a daily habit. This is known as TROLLING, and it's not allowed.
Solicitations/Advertisements. You may not engage in any kind of advertising or solicitation for any other website, product, service, or game.
Illegal Activities. Discussions about illegal activities in a virtual world or in real life are not allowed under any circumstance. If it's against the law, it's also against our Code of Conduct.
Impersonation. You may not impersonate or attempt to impersonate Pokémon staff, celebrities, politicians, or any other public figure. Always remember that a Forum Moderator or Pokémon Staff Member will NEVER ask for your account password. If someone requests this information, report that person to the Support Team immediately.
Defrauding Moderators or Staff & Disobeying Instructions. Including, but not limited to, withholding information, engaging in trickery, or providing false information with the intent to purposely mislead staff.
Bug/Hack Exploitation. You may not exploit, attempt to exploit, or advertise any errors, faults, or bugs you encounter in our game. This includes, but is not limited to, giving other players instructions on how to use and/or find them. Any bugs you find should be immediately reported to the Support Team. There is no need to post your problem and/or opinion about an in-game glitch on the forums; it will not solve the problem.
Personal Information. Posting personal information on our public forums is strictly prohibited. Make sure never to post any information containing your real name, residential address, or social networking links.
MODERATOR INTERACTION POLICY
Our team of moderators is here to help maintain a positive environment that everyone can enjoy. We would like to remind everyone that your conduct toward them is also very important, and you will be expected to adhere to the General Code of Conduct during any interactions with them.
DISPUTING FORUM ACTIONS
If you feel you received a forum punishment that was unwarranted or too severe, please do not post about it on the forums, as that is not the proper place to discuss something of that nature. Instead, contact the Pokemon Support Team to have your issue addressed. You can find more information in the thread, "Disputing Thread & Account Actions".
Thanks again for making this community better everyday!
