Issue with Trades after the December 11th game maintenance
When a user adds an item in their collection to a trade offer, that item is placed in escrow. The item still appears in the user’s Collection, and can be included in a custom deck, but the user is prevented from taking any action which would remove that item from his or her collection. Items in escrow do not appear as eligible for addition to another trade, and cannot be opened (in the case of a booster pack). This process ensures that the item will still be available when the trade is accepted. Items are automatically removed from escrow when a trade is accepted, rejected, or canceled. In the case of public trades, escrow is also removed when the trade expires before it is accepted.
The development team made some minor changes to the back end of the Trade system during maintenance yesterday to improve overall performance and stability. It appears as though some portion of these changes corrupted the code that removes the escrow flag when a trade ends. This issue went undetected until we started receiving reports from the community. Items affected by this bug are still in the owners’ accounts, they are simply following the rules associated with an item in escrow.
The development team has prepared a fix for the corrupted code and a script which removes the escrow flag from items which are no longer part of an active trade offer. They are in the process of testing these fixes now to ensure that there are no unintended side effects, and that they repair all of the items that were affected by this bug. They believe this fix can be deployed without putting the game into maintenance.
We apologize for the confusion and inconvenience that this bug has caused. The Mod team will provide updates on the status of this bug fix as they become available.

UPDATE: 12/12/2013 - 5:24PM PST
As discussed, the issue with these items is that they are stuck in escrow due to the maintenance that occurred yesterday. While we had previously expected that this would be a fix that could be deployed today once we identified all impacted users, isolating that data from the database has been more difficult than anticipated. We are still in the process of determining how best to proceed while trying to ensure we only adjust the status of the affected items.
This investigation is continuing throughout the rest of this evening. However, it is unlikely that a solution would be able to be deployed this evening, based on the current timeline.
We were able to isolate impacted users / items as desired. With this information, we were able to create and run a script against live that should reset the items that were previously in escrow to their previous state. This should resolve the issue for the users who were affected.
